Troubleshooting:

1. Cannot unlock the default password
2. Cannot boot M8
3. Computer doesn’t recognize M8 when connected
4. Menus are disorganized or corrupted
5. M8 will not recognize files  

Warning: Clearing the registry will delete all your user settings and installed software.  Please back up everything you wish to save before starting the procedure.  After clearing the registry, you must reset your user preferences and reinstall any software that was deleted.

To clear the M8 registry, follow these steps:

Step 1

Press and hold the power button + M button during startup (Figure 1)

Step 2

Wait for the Clear Registries screen to appear; the reset will then begin automatically (Figure 2)

Step 3

The main menu screen will appear after the reset is completed (Figure 3)
